ECMI invites applications from researchers, academics, and industry representatives with an interest in mathematical modelling to join the 40th ECMI Modelling Week, taking place from 18–24 July 2027 at the University of Wuppertal, Germany.

Instructors will lead small, multinational student groups working on modelling projects based on real-world problems. They will introduce the problem, guide the students throughout the week, and support them in developing and presenting their final results.

Please make sure that your proposed problem is a genuine modelling problem and can be solved within one week! Industry representatives without a PhD are also welcome to apply, provided that an academic instructor is available during the Modelling Week to mentor the problem together with them.
